State of the Blog

19 May

As of today May 19, 2009 this blog has officially achieved 1,000 views! I’m still a blog n00b, but at least I’ve got that fancy achievement.

So far I feel that the blog has been a success since I changed it over from its original site(s), switched the format, and the intended focus. My thanks to all of you who stop by to see me on a regular basis, and those who drop in on a random search as well.

And a special thanks to Veneretio of Tanking Tips for the image there.

Where To Now?
I am pleased so far with the changes I have made and the direction I am taking the blog. The one thing that I find really lacking right now is reader interaction, so I need to find a way to bring in something more that the readers can comment on and discuss. Maybe I ramble on too long and nobody wants to spend the time to read the whole post, so I need to shorten them down a bit? I don’t know what the key is yet, but I’m searching for it.

I plan to start branching off into other classes besides the paladin at this point, with the Shaman being the next primary focus, followed most likely by the Druid. There is a chance that the druid will be knocked back a step by a Warlock since I had quite a bit of fun with one over the weekend, but since the druid was picked by the users it will have a place here before too long.

As I have mentioned in the information concerning this blog, I am here to help people level up their characters. That means all of their characters, not just their paladins. While there may come a time that I blog about a single class, I do not intend for this one to be that kind of blog. Shaman is definitely next up on the list since I got my orc up to level 21 last night and am having a great deal of fun with him.

Summer Vacation
Tomorrow I leave for a vacation trip to see my in-laws in Utah. We have not seen the family up there in a couple of years and find this a great time to visit them.

I leave tomorrow, May 20th, and will not be back until May 28th. I know that there will be no time for playing WoW while we are there, and I am not sure whether or not I will have access to the internet enough that I will be able to blog while I am gone.

If I am unable to blog, please hang in there until I return. The blog certainly isn’t going to die, I just might have to be without net access for a week. If I am able to post again, then it will most likely be concerning the Shaman, and possibly a little snippet of Warlock as well.

Grats on the ding, my friend. And don’t worry, the true readers will stick around so long as new & relevant content ultimately filters down to us mindless drones. ;)
